Your Tips Led to Sex Offender's Arrest

Video will be available shortly

Jeffery Gary Beasley was a non compliant sex offender who moved to Kentucky from Alabama and now he's in the Fayette County Jail awaiting extradition.

Beasley did register his address with state police just like the law requires, but he wasn't actually living there. We showed his profile several times before on our Kentucky's Most Wanted series and today thanks to a tip to crime stoppers he's behind bars.

Beasley was arrested on Shropshire at his mother's home.

Jeffery Beasley had been on the run for at least 18 months and when Marshall's caught up with him this morning he said he was ready to stop running.

His original conviction was for 1st degree sexual abuse of a 14 year old girl in Alabama. Move in offenders like him are common and Deputy Smith says new laws like the Adam Walsh Law make it easier to track them.

Every state has their own laws, but this national law makes it easier to ensure states know about it wanted fugitives.
