Overnight fire leaves a Lexington woman picking up the pieces.
Around one o' clock this morning firefighters were called to 1133 Iron Lace Court for a house fire.

Neighbors say they saw flames shooting 30 to 40 feet in the air from the back of the home.

No one was home at the time, neighbors say the woman who lived there was staying with a friend in Georgetown.

Fire investigators say, the fire started because one of the stove burners was left on overnight.

The home next door received only minor heat damage.

Neighbors say, the damage could have been much worse if the fire department hadn't reacted so quickly.
