A man stole more than a $1,000 dollars worth of items after breaking into a car parked in a Lexington driveway, but a home surveillance system caught it all on tape.
Now Crime Stoppers is offering a reward.

He walks up to a vehicle parked in the carport of a home on West 6th Street, motion detector lights even coming on. However, that didn't stop the man. He then breaks into the car.

"Several electronics were stolen from the vehicle and also a significant amount of damage was done to the vehicle", says Detective Rob Sarrantonio with Lexington Police.

The homeowner had cameras, catching the suspect on tape.

"A white male suspect wearing shorts, a white shirt, and a white bandanna around his head. It was pretty clear and we're hoping someone can identify who it is. A lot of times people that do these crimes do multiple larcenies from autos so this might be a connection to other crimes that are similar to this one", says Detective Rob Sarrantonio.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest in this case. You can call 859-253-2020 or dial *2020 on your AT&T wireless phone. It's a free call and they don't want your name, just your information.
