Print

A double fatality is under investigation in Carter County, where police say a motorcycle lost control and struck a car.

27-year-old Clifton Jent, and his passenger, 24-year-old Miranda Johnson, were both thrown from the motorcycle on impact. Jent was pronounced dead at the scene. Johnson was transported to Cabell Huntington Hospital, where she later died.

Steven Brooks, the driver of the car, and his three passengers, were not injured.

According to police, alcohol does not appear to be a factor at this time.
