State Police Step Up Patrol This Fourth of July

As we come up on the Fourth of July holiday Kentucky State Police say they plan to increase patrols on water and land to keep folks safe.

State police tell us they plan to aggressively enforce the law tomorrow all in effort to prevent accidents, they say can be avoided.

Police say many died last year on the 4th of July holiday and many of those deaths were caused by driving under the influence of alcohol.

We're told police will take to the roads and water ways looking for folks driving vehicles or boats under the influence.
