By Friday night, the brunt of the storm was in southern Kentucky where snow began falling steadily at about 7:30 p.m.
In Whitley County, the highways and streets remained relatively quiet as it appears most people heeded warnings about the storm and opted to stay off the roads. Many businesses including restaurants and hotels saw very few customers.
