16-year-old lucky to be alive after being hit by car

16-year-old Lexi Harris is lucky to be alive following an accident in front of her Hiawatha Trail home.

Harris says she was getting ready to get into her stepsister's car when another car hit that one, knocking her to the ground. Witnesses says she was then run over by both cars.

The driver of the Camry says he was blinded by the sun and couldn't see the car parked along the road.

Harris was rushed to UK Hospital with a broken collarbone and a head injuries.

Harris says the driver of the other car visited her at the hospital and was very upset and sorry for what happened. They all agreed it was a terrible accident.

Harris says she will find out Wednesday if she has to have surgery on her broken collarbone.
