Blank napkin used in attempted robbery

You could call it an empty threat.

Police say a woman tried to rob a Georgetown gas station using a napkin as a demand note.

But there was one problem. She forgot to write her demand on it.

Police say the suspect tried to rob the Shell station on East Main Street in Georgetown recently.

The say she didn't even make it to the counter the first time surveillance cameras caught her circling the store.

Police say it was about ten minutes later when the woman walked up to the clerk and placed a white napkin on the counter.

But police say nothing was written on the napkin, so when the suspect realized that, she left the store.

Police say the suspect returned a short time later with a demand written on the napkin.

The clerk refused to give the suspect any money, and the suspect left again.
