Severe thunderstorms have developed across parts of Central Kentucky. Expect more of these to develop through the evening hours.
Lexington police hope video of a robbery in action will help catch the criminal. Police released video Thursday of the man who held up a Kroger store over the weekend.
Police still don't have a suspect in the Saturday night robbery, so that's why they released the video, hoping it will help catch the bad guy.
The video shows the parking lot view as the man walked into the Kroger on Chinoe at about 11:30 Saturday night.
He walked up to the customer service desk and asked for a box of cigarettes.
Police say that's when he gave the employee a note saying he wanted cash, implying he had a weapon.
The employee walked the suspect over to a nearby register, to get the cash. He took it and left the store.
The outside cameras catch him casually walking, then running from the Kroger.
So far, police say this suspect does not match any prior robberies. They're hoping someone recognizes the man in the video.
If you have any information about the robbery, you can call Crime Stoppers at (859) 253-2020. You may get a reward for your information.
