A Kentucky woman has filed a lawsuit against Toyota, claiming she suffered some serious injuries after a recalled Camry hit her last November.
In the lawsuit, Debra Poynter claims she was pinned against an ATM machine.
She suffered several broken bones, internal injuries, cuts, and bruises in the accident.
She says a Toyota Camry suddenly accelerated, hitting her and crushing her against the wall of a bank in Kenton County.
The lawsuit places blame on the Camry, saying it was defective.
Poynter's attorney claims Toyota knew about the questionable gas pedals four years ago, and kept selling cars with them anyway.
Poynter says she's been unable to work since the accident.
