Lexington grocery store evacuated

The shopping had to stop early Thursday morning at a Lexington grocery store when people started feeling ill.

People were complaining of being lightheaded at the Kroger on Leestown Road and thought there may be a gas leak.

The fire department was called and the store was evacuated.

Workers with Columbia Gas arrived and determined the odor came from a problem with the furnace and wasn't a gas leak.

The store is now back open.
