Customers are used to seeing more than just chicken inside the KFC in Berea.
"I thought it was pretty neat they had the statue of his head," said Dayna Miller.
Miller is talking about the bust of company founder Harland Sanders, which once decorated the dining room.
But now, the bust is gone.
"Evidently they just picked it up and left with it," said Rhonda Hall, the assistant manager.
The bronze bust, valued at $1,200, was stolen around 6 last Sunday night. Employees say four young men were inside eating, and when they left, the statue went with them.
Although Berea Police are investigating, the Colonel is still no where to be found.
"It's pretty sad that you get people to steal right in broad daylight," said customer Eddie Marshall.
KFC wants the bust back so much, they are now offering a $500 reward - not in cash, but in chicken - the new 'Kentucky Grilled Chicken.'
Employees hope it will be enough motivation for Sanders' safe return.
"If anyone knows anything, we'd really like to have it back in the store," said Hall.
If anyone has information on the missing bust, they are asked to call the Berea Police Department at 859-986-8456.
