Work resumes at Toyota plant in Georgetown
Work resumed Monday for workers at the Toyota plant in Georgetown who had either been off the job or working other jobs due a glitch in several vehicles' accelerators.
The production line that builds Camrys and Avalons had been idled for the past week while Toyota scrambled to fix the problem.
That fix arrived last week to dealerships.
Meanwhile, several Toyota plant workers went to work at some dealers, like Toyota South, to help with the extra demand.
Toyota has also started airing a new commercial aimed to prevent the automakers' image from being tarnished any more.
Toyota's largest North American plant is in Georgetown.
