Showers and storms continue to push into eastern Kentucky. A few strong storms will continue to be possible, but widespread severe weather is not expected.
Lexington continues to come up with ways to improve water quality.
This morning Mayor Jim Newberry announced the "Go green, save green" initiative.
The program will teach business and apartments complex managers how to reduce waste.
One of the biggest problems the mayor pointed out has to do with pet waste.
"There are a number of parasites that can get into the water supply as a result of pet waste. And so, it's important for us to contain that as best we can to keep the parasites out of our water supply," Newberry said.
Those classes are scheduled for February 25th.
