Meth bust sends sheriff to hospital

What appeared to be a harmless pill bottle sent the Knox County Sheriff to the emergency room.

The Sheriff and other law enforcement officers were raiding a meth lab in Corbin.

Sheriff John Pickard opened a pill bottle during the investigation but the bottle contained iodine crystals.

Iodine crystals can cause long-term liver damage.

The News-Journal reports officers found a working meth lab in the apartment and arrested three people.

The Sheriff is recovering.
