Trooper "Buddy" Carey Indicted On Multiple Charges

A grand jury indicted a Kentucky State Trooper in connection with a Grant County crash.

KSP Trooper Larry E. "Buddy" Carey was indicted on six charges by the Grant County Grand Jury today.

They include three counts of Assault First Degree, one count of Wanton Endangerment, first degree DUI, and Failure to Maintain Insurance.

Police say he was driving drunk when he crashed into a truck last week injuring a family of four.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Carey, who is at a rehab, and will have a 50-thousand dollar bond when it is executed.

No arraignment date has been set yet.
