A chaotic scene in Richmond Wednesday night when a reported fire forced the evacuation of the Richmond mall and Cinemark Theater. JC Penny employees called fire crews around 9:00 when they noticed smoke in the store. All employees, customers, and movie goers then had to leave the building. No one was hurt. Officials say the smoke was likely caused by a malfunctioning air conditioning unit.
