Roads looking better in Madison County after snow

Most roads in Madison County are looking much better Tuesday, thanks to the hard work of road crews.

The county received a few inches of snow from this latest storm. Most main roads in Richmond and Berea are clear, while some secondary roads are still covered with snow.

Last week, Madison County crews were running low on salt supplies. Officials told us then they only had enough salt for one more snow event.

But they're now in better shape, after a new shipment of salt arrived.

County officials are now worried about the amount of money they've had to spend on salt this year. They tell 27 NEWSFIRST they're now $75,000 over budget for salt.
