Lexington Man Stabbed to Death, Girlfriend Charged With Murder

Lexington Police are conducting a homicide investigation. Officers found a man laying outside a trailer in the Eastland Trailer Park early Thursday morning.

They say he was stabbed inside another trailer and somehow managed to get outside. Officers tell us the man made it down the road before collapsing in a yard.

Police say 39 year-old Timothy Roseberry was transported to UK Hospital, where he later died. His girlfriend, 32-year old Dana Gilliam, has since been charged with his murder.

Gilliam's family says Roseberry physically abused her for years, and the stabbing was in self defense. Roseberry's family agrees there was a history of violence in the couple's rocky relationship, but say both Gilliam and Roseberry were abusive toward eachother. In fact, the victim's family tells 27NEWFIRST Gilliam threatened to kill Roseberry at a family reunion less than a week before he was found dead.

Gilliam's arraignment is set for Friday morning in Fayette County court.
