Cell Phones Are Helping Police Catch Criminals

By: Dave Spencer
Video will be available shortly

The use of video is helping police crack down on crime, and now cell phones with cameras are catching criminals in the act.

Whether it's a witness to a crime, or committing the crimes themselves it's all being caught on tape.

A persons need to be in the spotlight is lending a hand to law enforcers; especially when homemade videos are posted on websites like "YouTube", "Myspace," and "Facebook."

Police around the country are now as a routine looking at those sites for tips.

Police say having visual evidence can speed up the trial process, assuming you can prove the video is authentic and a judge allows it as evidence.
