Governor orders flags to half-staff in honor of Kentucky soldier

Flags at all state office buildings will be lowered to half-staff Saturday, to honor a Kentucky soldier who was killed in Afghanistan.

The Department of Defense says 23-year-old Sgt. Adam Ray died earlier this month, after an improvised explosive device exploded. Sgt. Ray was a native of Louisville.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Okalona Christian Church in Louisville. He'll be buried at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Louisville.

Governor Beshear ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset Saturday.
