Pastor arrested on teen sex abuse charges

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (AP) - The pastor of a central Kentucky
church has been charged with five counts of sexual abuse.
Kentucky State Police said 57-year-old Marion Barnes of Ekron
was released from jail after being booked earlier this week on
charges involving a female teenager.
The News-Enterprise in Elizabethtown reported Barnes is senior
pastor of Glad Tidings Christian Center in Brandenburg.
KSP spokesman Bruce Reeves said Barnes' accuser said she was
abused beginning when she was 15 and that she is now 18. She went
to police Monday morning and Barnes was arrested that night on
three counts of first-degree sex abuse and two counts of
third-degree sex abuse.
