Couple Sue Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom Over Daughter's Severed Feet

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A Louisville couple whose teenage daughter had her feet severed on a ride at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom have sued the park. They also want a judge to order the park not to destroy a cable that investigators believe tore off the girl's feet.

The Louisville Courier-Journal reports that Randall and Monique Lasitter filed the lawsuit yesterday on behalf of 13-year-old Kaitlyn Lasitter. She remains hospitalized, in good condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Doctors at Vanderbilt reattached Kaitlyn's right foot after the June 21st accident but couldn't save the left because of the severity of the injury.

The lawsuit claims the park failed to maintain the equipment and ensure riders' safety.
