A man charged with a violent attack in Lexington is back in jail after being arrested in Tennessee.
Agents from the U.S. Marshal's Office found 28-year-old David Erwin in Knoxville, Tennessee Monday, and arrested him.
He's being held in Knoxville for now, awaiting extradition proceedings.
He was expected to enter a guilty plea last Tuesday. He had been released from bond, pending trial. He was supposed to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet on his ankle, as a condition of the bond.
But police say last Tuesday morning, Erwin cut off the bracelet and disappeared.
Police say Erwin stabbed his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend last May at a home on Forest Park Drive in Lexington.
He was charged with both assault and burglary for last year's incident.
He's also charged with violation of a condition of release.
