A number of local businesses on Main Street in Georgetown posted blue signs in their front windows Tuesday, showing support for the automaker and its employees.

"We want to let them know we're behind them and we support them; not only in product but also in morale," explained Dick Suffoletta, owner of Suff's Fine Furniture and Oriental Rugs.

Dick Suffoletta says in manufacturing, there will always be challenges; whether it comes to making furniture or cars.

"I think Toyota has to stand up and do the best they can from the person on the line all the way up."

Like most living in Georgetown, Suffoletta considers Toyota part of the family. He says he's hopeful they are treated fairly in Washington during this investigation.

"It's kind of tough when your competitor is the one grilling you. Let's face it, the government owns a major part of GM now and Chrysler. When you have somebody that is your competitor, it is kind of hard to be unbiased."

Governor Beshear is one of several governors who've written letters urging investigators to be fair.

Last Friday, the state Senate passed a resolution recognizing Toyota for being an outstanding part of the community and commending them for bringing so many jobs to the Bluegrass.
