Project underway to preserve memories of visitors to state capitol

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - First lady Jane Beshear says she wants to
hear your stories. In fact, she wants to hear everybody's stories.
Beshear is promoting a project aimed at saving personal memories
of Kentuckians from all 120 counties about the state Capitol
building.
The Virtual Time Capsule project is being coordinated by the
Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet.
Those who want to participate are also urged to submit photos or
other memorabilia. The University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension
Service office in each county will serve as the collection point.
Information will be posted on a Web site to be unveiled in
conjunction with the Capitol Centennial Celebration June 4 and 5 in
Frankfort. Information eventually will be transferred to the
Kentucky Historical Society and the Kentucky Department for
Libraries and Archives.
