Man Dies After Early Morning Shooting
A man is dead after being shot in the head inside a Lexington apartment.
Police would not confirm if drugs were involved in the shooting that happened at around 3 a.m. at the Executive East Apartments on Jennifer Road, off Eastland Parkway. But they do say it's not a random murder.
When emergency crews arrived, they found Tony Lamar Wright, Jr., 27, with a gunshot wound to his head.
Police originally received a 911 call from the apartment about a possible home invasion, according to Lt. Edward Hart of Lexington Police.
Police interviewed three witnesses who were inside the apartment at the time.
According to police, none of those interviewed is a suspect.
