Comair Memorial Plans On Hold Until Fall

Video will be available shortly

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Community leaders planning a memorial for victims of last summer's Comair plane crash have decided to delay the process until at least October. The delay comes at the request of victims' family members.

Representatives of four families whose loved ones were killed attended a planning meeting today at a Lexington hotel.

Organizers say the meeting sparked tearful complaints from some family members about the timing. They requested talks about the memorial be scheduled for several weeks after next month's anniversary of the crash.

Memorial effort leader Ray Garman says the next meeting would likely be in late October and that discussions about what form the memorial would take had NOT begun.
