Two people tied up during robbery at coal mine

Kentucky State Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery at a coal mine.

It happened Sunday at the Number 3 Mine of the Cloverlick Coal Company in Harlan County.

Police say two men entered the guard shack and overpowered the guard and a coal miner. The suspects then tied both victims up, grabbed some money, and took off in the guard's vehicle.

Police say the vehicle was later recovered in Cumberland.

No one was hurt in the robbery. Police say the victims were not able to identify the suspects.

So far, no arrests have been made.
