Arrests made for robbery of pool hall owner

Two people now face charges in connection with the robbery and assault of a Richmond pool hall owner.

Richmond Police arrested 22-year-old Chance Lefler and 32-year-old Letisha Stamper Friday.

Lefler is charged with first degree robbery, while Stamper is charged with complicity to commit robbery.

Stamper had been arrested earlier Friday on a shoplifting charge in Berea.

Police say after detectives interviewed her, she was charged in connection with the robbery. Officers arrested Lefler a short time later.

Early last Wednesday morning, police say the owner of BJ's Pool Hall, on South Killarney Lane, was closing up for the night, when a man approached him, and hit him several times with a metal object.

The owner suffered a head injury, and was treated and released from a hospital.

Police say some money in a bank bag was stolen during the robbery.

Both Lefler and Stamper were lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
