Three Charged In Gas Station Burglary

Lexington Police have a witness to thank for spotting a burglary early Thursday morning.

Police say a man who is accused of breaking into a gas station this morning tried to smash the glass at another station and was caught on tape.

Police tell 27 NEWFIRST a witness called them after seeing three people break into the BP Station on South Locust Hill near Richmond Road.

The witness called police and then flagged down a nearby officer.

Officers arrested three people at the scene.

Police say the two women and one man smashed in glass at the store and stole cigarettes and beer.

Police say they have video of the man trying to do the same thing at the Dairy Mart on Eureka Springs.

Police say the man is the only person charged in the case.
