Hearing for man accused of killing ex-girlfriend continued

A scheduled hearing for a man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend was continued Tuesday.

Bass Webb was supposed to be present at the Harrison County Courthouse for the hearing, but when officials showed up at the Fayette County Detention Center Tuesday morning, he refused to go.

The results of Webb's court ordered mental evaluation had been expected back Tuesday.

Webb is accused of killing Bryia Runiewicz at her Harrison County home last July and then trying to run over employees at the Bourbon County Jail.

Webb has also been named a suspect in the disappearance of another ex-girlfriend, Sabrina Vaughn.

Although Webb hasn't been charged in that case, police say they will charge him if human remains found in Powell County last month are those of Vaughn.

She went missing from Montgomery County in 2003.

Police are trying to identify the remains using DNA.
