The Hoops For Haiti campaign is still going strong.

Tuesday afternoon, Cat Fan-Attic presented a check for more than $39,000 to Coach John Calipari.

The money comes from the more than 7,000 Hoops For Haiti t-shirts sold at Cat Fan-Attic stores since the Hoops For Haiti telethon at WKYT in January.

"It's exciting to be part of something like this", says Lester Boyd, owner of Cat Fan-Attic.

Coach Calipari says he plans to visit Haiti this summer and is encouraged to see the plight of the Haitian people still in the hearts and minds of Central Kentuckians.

"They are still in need of basic necessities and to know people are still giving is amazing," he said.

The Hoops For Haiti telethon held at WKYT raised more than $1 million for Haitian relief.
