ROBARDS, Ky. (AP) - Police in western Kentucky say about a dozen
schoolchildren were taken to a hospital when their bus overturned
on a rural road.
Col. David Crafton with the Henderson County Sheriff's
Department says the children's injuries were not severe. Crafton
says the bus' wheel went off the roadway around 7:15 a.m. CST and
the driver overcorrected, causing the bus to overturn and land on
its side on the opposite side of the road.
The accident occurred on Ky. 283 near Robards. Crafton says he
did not know how many children were on board, but they ranged from
elementary to high school age.
The bus driver has not been named.
