Danville voters approve expanded alcohol sales

Voters in the city of Danville approved expanded alcohol sales Tuesday.

The city is the first in Kentucky to go from moist to completely wet.

The "yes" side won by a margin of about 600 votes.

The city did allow alcohol sales in restaurants only.

But now, beer and liquor can be sold in retail outlets and in bars.

It will take 60 days for the change to be official.
