Power restored to 4,000 K.U. customers

The lights are back on for 4,230 Kentucky Utilities customers in Lexington and Nicholasville.

K.U. officials say a fuse went off at its Higbee Mill substation around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

The outage affected customers in northern Jessamine County and southern Fayette County.

It was fixed by 5:30 a.m.
