Corbin Police & Federal Agent Bust Illegal Prescription Drug Operation

Corbin, Ky. - Corbin police and an undercover agent from the D.E.A. (Drug Enforcement Agency) broke up a illegal presciption drug operation and arrested a local man on multiple drug-related offenses. More arrests are expected.

Police say 24-year old Dalton Brewer of Gilliam Hill in Corbin was charged with multiple counts of drug offenses ranging from illegal possession of controlled narcotics and prescription blanks to possession of marijuana and drug paraphermalia.

Police say officers, with the help of a confidential informant, were able to purchase schedule one controlled narcotics and DEA controlled prescription blanks from Brewer. A search of his residence turned up several illegal controlled substances, 1st and 2nd degree narcotics, prescription forms, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and an undisclosed amount of cash.

D.E.A. Inspector General's Office Drug Enforcement Branch agent Chris Johnson assisted in the raid. Police say the investigation is continuing and there are a number of others individuals they are currently seeking. They declined to name any of the other suspects.
