Escaped Juveniles Found In Frankfort

By: Ashley Davidson Email

What could have been a potentially dangerous situation ended peacefully in Frankfort this afternoon.

Frankfort Police got a tip 16-year-old Brandi Murrah and 17-year-old Amber Tucker were in an apartment off Schenkel Lane. Officer followed that tip and found the girls inside. They initially lied about their names but officers determined they were the missing juveniles.

Tucker and Murrah were arrested without incident, but there was concern the girls could be a threat because of the assault on the corrections officer Tuesday morning.

Kentucky State Police interviewed the girls at the Frankfort Police department. They say they can't discuss the interview, but it did involve where and what the girls did since they've been loose.

The person who lived in the apartment where Tucker and Murrah were found could face charges.
