Deck Collapses
A woman in Frankfort is recovering after surviving a fall from the deck of a house.
Firefighters, emergency crews, and the city building inspector were all called to the scene.
The owners of the home are away on vacation, but will return to their home to find their backyard blocked off with danger tape, and the deck that they built and entertained on, completely collapsed.
Neighbors who are close to the family say that they will be devastated when they come home.
The woman who is looking after the house while the family is away was sitting on the deck when it collapsed, but wasn't seriously injured.
Building inspectors have condemned the deck because they say it doesn't meet code.
The building Inspector says that he will work closely with the family to help them plan to rebuild the deck safely.
