Tow Truck Driver Injured In Hit And Run

A tow truck driver is recovering after Lexington Police say he was the victim of a hit and run accident.

It happened on West Main Street in front of Herritage Hall early Wednesday morning.

The tow truck driver was trying to tow away a Corvette when police say a car came along and ran into him.

The car took off.

Police are now looking for that car, described as a newer model black Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

It was last seen heading outbound Richmond Road.

Witnesses weren't able to get a good look at a license plate.

The tow truck worker is expected to be okay.
