Police and water rescue officials were able to pull a vehicle out of a Boone County Lake today after a teenage girl drove the car into the lake.
The teen managed to escape the Ford Taurus before it sank.
Investigators say she had driven through a field toward the road, but instead of turning onto the road, drove across it and into the lake.
She was the only passenger in the car.
