Police say that a Kentucky State Police trooper who was indicted on assault and drunken-driving charges after a crash in northern Kentucky was arrested Wednesday.
38-year-old Trooper Larry Carey, of Dry Ridge, and several others were hospitalized after the July Fourth crash, and he remained hospitalized when he was indicted.
Carey was indicted on charges of first-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment, driving under the influence and driving without
State police say he was being held in the Grant County Detention
Center on 50 thousand dollars bond after his arrest.
Carey was in the news last year after he pulled over Oprah Winfrey during a cross-country trip that was featured on her talk show.
