The UK Police Department has sent out bulletins to students alerting them about a robbery attempt on campus.

A woman told police she was walking to her car near Funkhouser Drive, around 1 Tuesday morning, when a man tried to grab her purse and book bag.

The woman was able to fight off the robber. Police say the suspect ran off without taking anything.

Police say the suspect was wearing dark clothes. They don't have any other description beyond that.

Last Friday, UK Police issued a crime bulletin after two men assaulted two students on campus, and robbed them at gunpoint.
