Cats getting ready for first game in SEC Tournament

There's been a lot of excitement over the UK basketball team this season, and now, that's being felt at the SEC Tournament in Nashville.

Many UK fans have already arrived in Music City for the tournament, which began Thursday.

The Cats are preparing for their first game in the tournament, which will be Friday afternoon at 1 on WKYT. The team will play Alabama in the quarterfinals. The Crimson Tide beat South Carolina in the first round Thursday.

The Cats won the SEC regular season title this season, with a 14-2 conference record. UK has not won an SEC Tournament title since 2004.

Tickets are hard to come by for the tournament. Scalpers tell us single game tickets at Bridgestone Arena are selling for as much as $150 for an upper arena seat, and $300 for a lower arena seat.

Scalping tickets is legal in Nashville.
