Investigators Search Through Trash For Clues In Young Boy's Death

Investigators have sorted through 60 boxes of trash and have 15 to go as they search for clues in the death of a 4-year-old boy.

The trash came from the garbage truck where the body of Cesar "Ivan" Anguilar-Cano was found in a trash bag on July Seventh, nine days after he was last seen outside the apartment complex his family lives in near Churchill Downs.

No one has been charged with his death.

Louisville Police Lieutenant Lynn Hunt says about 30 percent of the garbage has been inspected at the department, while another 20-to-30 percent has been sent to out-of-state agencies and the rest is being examined by Kentucky State Police.

Along with the trash, investigators have reviewed more than 400 CDs and DVDs of security cameras from the area.

Assistant Police Chief Tim Emington says investigators are awaiting toxicology results from an autopsy of the boy to see if they will be able to find a cause of death.
