Excitement builds as UK plays Alabama in SEC showdown

March Madness begins for the Kentucky Wildcats Friday afternoon.

UK will play its first game in the SEC Tournament against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The quarterfinal match up is set for 1 p.m at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. You can watch the game live on WKYT.

UK got a bye in the first round of the tournament. The Cats won the SEC regular season title with a 14-2 conference record.

Alabama defeated South Carolina yesterday, in the first round.

Even a stormy morning in Nashville can't stop the Kentucky faithful from cheering on the Cats.

Those rumblings of thunder turned into an early wake-up call for all those fans who spent the night in Music City.

Many UK fans took part in a pep rally held Friday morning at the famous Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville.

If UK beats Alabama, the Cats will advance to play the winner of the Tennessee-Mississippi game.
