An accident involving a tractor trailer carrying scrap metal has reduced part of Interstate 75 in Grant County to one lane.

The accident happened at around 4:30 Friday morning at the 148 mile marker in the northbound lanes.

Fire officials say the semi truck blew a tire, overturned and burst into flames.

No injuries were reported.

There's no word on how long interstate traffic will be reduced to one lane.

Northbound traffic is being re-routed at the 144 mile marker.
