Police make an arrest in copper thefts

Police say they've made one arrest in a rash of copper thefts.

The Winchester Sun reports, police have charged 52-year-old Charles Harrison, for thefts from a KU pole, Trinity United Methodist Church and Fannie Bush Elementary.

Copper thieves also hit the Opera House, in Winchester, early last week.

Police say copper thefts are on the rise in the area and that they do have some suspects.
