Teen Could Face Life in Prison A judge ruled on Friday that a Mercer County teenager could face life in prison without parole, if found guilty.
Lee Anderson is accused of stabbing and robbing former teacher Louise Pulliam in Harrodsburg back in Januraly 2006.
Anderson was 17 when he was charged with the crime, but has since turned 18.
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 2005 that juveniles cannot be sentenced to death.
Anderson's attorney argued that Kentucky law does not allow a straight life sentence to be imposed on offenders who were juveniles at the time of the crime. The Commonwealth's Attorney and the judge disagreed.
Anderson is scheduled to go on trial on August 20th.
