Home Invasion Victim Gets Warm Welcome Home

A Georgetown woman is back home today after spending several weeks recovering in a hospital after a home invasion.

Matti Michaels was injured in May when police say Stanley Stander broke into the couple's home and attacked them.

Both were badly injured in the attack and had to spend time in the hospital. Matti Michaels was severely beaten and had to be admitted to Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Center.

Today, she was released from Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Center after two months of medical care.

The couple was in good spirits and very happy to be going home.

The man accused in the beating, Stanley stander Junior has plead not guilty to charges stemming from the home invasion.
